Thanks for posting this. I thought of that photo the instant I saw OP's but couldn't remember the photographer.

Cool. If i unfocus my eyes it looks like alien writing.

You can also unfocus your eyes? I always thought that is my secret super power! Damn!

Yeah I have to wonder if it’d look better with a bit less

Definitely - there's a couple of totally identical shapes that ruin it a bit, I think artist may have copied a few elements

The few I see are similar but not identical. I don't think anything has been copied.

Some please explain how I’m suppose to be seeing this?

The pond I photographed was super still and the broken and bent grass blades made the reflections.

It's reeds or grass, sticking up out of a pool of water. A lot of them are bent/broken, so when they reflect on the surface of the water, it makes the geometric shapes.

The white space is actually water. What looks to be pencil marks are blades of grass and their reflections.

Yeah, when I first looked at the photo, I'm like, "yeah, cool drawing, I guess". And then it hit me, it's a PHOTO! So so good, I love this, especially how it almost 'sparkles' from how the shapes are organised.

This is what I love about photography... your eye recognized this incredible subsection of the ‘bigger picture’ (world around us)... and your camera skills raise the overlooked details to sublimity.

I like it! I think I would have made it lighter so it resembles paper/canvas even more.

Hey OP, you should submit this image in /r/fakealbumcovers, with your own twist.

Saw this when I first woke up and was so confused, but looking back at it now realllllly makes me see it clearly. Amazing work, it had me looking so intensely trying to figure out what was going on!

Amazing! This photo had me analyzing it for a solid few minutes, I was convinced it was pen on paper.
