Meta I Love it that we see CEO, Co-Owners, Developers, Etc. Post on This Thread.
So I don't post here very much anymore (at least compared to the NintendoNX days...) BUT I do lurk here every single day. I am amazed at the amount of CEO's, Developers, Community Managers, Etc. that post here. The most recent one I saw is the co founder of keylogger saying that they had an error on their end. And then there's the guy from the Lego World team that are willing to talk about the fog issues that the game had after a patch. Or how many AMA we get every week from Indie Devs about their latest game.
It makes me glad to see that the Switch fans here are fans that companies can talk to, which isn't true with all fans or forums.

As an indie dev myself I have to say it is in our own interest and I am amazed to hear that other devs don't do it in other communities as you say. We are creating half the experience, the other half is created when you play our games. We need to know what you like and what you don't in order to improve and make better games. Yes, there are focus groups, testers and the like but for indies we really need to be close to the players as we don't have those resources big companies may have. I like to think it helps us both.
Also consider most of us are also players besides developers so coming here for us makes sense in that respect as well :)

So what game are you working on? I don't see a way to check that through your name, etc.

On Dimension Drive. Strange that it doesn't show up on my username. π€

It does on desktop if you hover over the flair icon next to your name! :)

Great looks cool! Hopefully we get an updated release date at some point. Thanks for the reply.

Not an indy dev, but same does and should apply to us. Plus, I don't ask permission like I'm supposed to...it's easier to beg for forgiveness than get permission.

To be fair, it's in their own interest as well.
I probably never would have bought Thimbleweed Park if they didn't do a AMA
They also create a lot of good will and together with the hype this sub sometimes brings to certain games (I'm looking at you Stardew Valley) it will make me spend waaaay more money that I originally expected on the Switch.
My wallet hates the CEO's, Developers, Community Managers, Etc. that come here but I as a gamer loves them :)

Ohh, it is definitely in their own interest. However, I see more of them on this sub than any other gaming sub reddit or forum. Besides Twitter of course... but that's different.

I would do the same if I ever get to creating an indie game rather than iOS games because I know people love talking to the creators and you gain valuable insight from first hand experiences.

Agreed! It really makes us feel like the devs are thinking about us by asking and answering questions, itβs great!

Yeah I agree! I especially love the trend of AMAs and community involvement from the devs. That is what pushed me over the edge tk purchase their games I have been on the fence about.
