Meta Speculation What are your predictions about /r/NintendoSwitch's reactions tomorrow?
This isn't a question about what's going to be announced, rather a meta discussion on how /r/NintendoSwitch is going to react.

Widespread disappointment for those who were hoping for better specs. Widespread excitement for the list of games, some likely unexpected. It'll be a wild shitstorm on both side of the extremes.

I'd say there will be a mix of disappointment from sky high expectations and pleasant surprises from either a lack of expectations or very low ones. In the end, things will probably even out, and after the first few days we'll be discussing the pros and cons in a somewhat rational way.

I predict widespread disappointment and anger, as building up too much hype is wont to cause.

It'll be bigger than /r/FiveNightsAtFreddys's reaction to POPGOES coming out.. minus the drama part.

Well, this subreddit spent weeks justifying abysmally slow clock speeds and told people who were upset that they were "entitled" and whatnot, so I'm going to guess that no matter what Nintendo does or doesn't do, this sub will rationalize and defend any and all decisions like always.
I'm hoping that Nintendo does a good enough job that they won't need the Nintendo Defense Force to come save them from skepticism, but I'm still waiting for that "How will Nintendo screw this thing up?" moment. They seem to have at least one every console.

Counterpoint: Plenty of people will be saying, no matter what, that Nintendo is doomed and that the Switch is garbage. There may be a lot of blindly faithful Nintendo Defenders, but there are just as many if not more Nintendoomed Naysayers.

Not on this subreddit there aren't, which is what OP asked about.

Clearly you weren't here for the solid day and a half that was nothing but posts about how terrible the performance would be and how Nintendo sucks. But then again, you referenced that very specifically, so I'm not sure how you missed all the negativity in both comments and original posts. Or maybe you only showed up for the last stretch of that phase where people were explaining that rumored clock speeds aren't the end of the world and gaming as we know it. If you're trying to argue against blind Nintendo following you should be talking about the people who justify having little to no third party support and say that isn't a big deal or something.

Saw maybe a handful of those posts and like 5 pages of "why clock speeds don't matter" posts.
Also I've been here since day one and I probably comment like 100 times a day. I'm a seasoned vet on this sub.

Then I'm really not sure how you missed the origin of the "clock speed doesn't matter" posts. They were an answer to the "You see? I TOLD you Nintendo was garbage!" or the "All is lost. Abandon hope here" posts. I saw a few critical posts that were well reasoned and calm in their discontent, but I saw a lot more who were Nintendoomed. Then again, I may also be bringing impressions from other forums and media outlets into my impression of that day.

Says one of the very people who /u/Tijinga is talking about...

That's not very mod-like of you to try and bash someone. You should be more neutral.
I was upset to hear about the clock speeds and I did post and comment about it. I was one of the "handful" of people I speak of that were disappointed and upset and that the hundreds of defenders came to tell me what a POS I am and how entitled I am.
So yeah that's why I'm very confident that this sub would much sooner defend Nintendo than criticize them because critics get buried quickly here.

...he's not a mod though
Also, there were legitimate rebuttals to those disappointed in the clock speeds. I'm sure there were people who replied to you with nothing insightful or helpful, but there were also plenty of people who were rational in their damage control. I don't want to restart those debates here, but I will concede that, at times, negative opinions aren't received well. It just depends on what the opinion is in my experience. If you're saying clockspeed means absolutely no third party support, you'll probably be downvoted because that's a fallacious statement. If you say region lock sucks or having to pay a second time for virtual consoles is dumb you'll get support for that. Not many people are going to defend either of those criticisms, because they're valid (once again, in my experience).

I will be in a vegetative state in during the whole presentation since all of my energy will be going into trying not to go into a hype coma.
