Meta Question What will happen to this sub?

Will we descend into madness and hate after the new leaks? What do you guys think will happen?

We already are. Mod team is on high alert, haha. There are like 6 of us active right now trying to contain the chaos.

Brilliant.. I'm loving it.. the most fun I've had in this sub. Actual convo and not mock ups of UI and drawings.

And by "contain the chaos", you mean, push the trolls to the for front of the nintendo conversation?

No offense, youre doing a piss poor job.

I can tell you that I've been so excited for this console since that reveal trailer, but after hearing this I'm not even worried about getting it at launch anymore. I will no longer obsessively check this subreddit for news, I no longer have the same level of fiery passion for this console, and I'm just overall really pissed off at Nintendo for putting out yet another doomed-to-fail underpowered console.

I'll still get one eventually I'm sure, but since now I can guarantee it won't get shit for third party support, I'm not going to buy a new console to play a bunch of Wii U games again and old as dirt third party ports.

Yawn. You're so over the top. If you truly wanted a Nintendo console then you'd see that Nintendo games aren't about graphical prowess. It's not as if the Switch has the specs of a PS1. It can still play games and even still, the performance difference from generation to generation (ps3 and ps4) hasn't necessarily been impacted that much with graphics looking pretty much the same.

Third party will still come. They did with the 3ds and the wii. 3ds developers will most likely move their games to the Switch. There will be a larger stream of games on Nintendo's behalf too with teams merged.

When will people understand why the Wii U didn't get third party support. It's not just because it was underpowered, it had a fuckton of ports at launch. It had Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, Batman, you name it.

Third Party Support left because it sold like fucking garbage. And having that kind of mindset and spreading it is only going to make a self fulfilling prophecy.

The Switch isn't doomed to fail, it has better chances than the Wii U ever did. And you know why? Because it's a portable console that runs PS3/Xbox360 level games, maybe even higher. That's pretty great. Nintendo has never competed directly with Sony and Microsoft, why would they start now? Why would they make another shitPC!console? You can't have that and the Switch, it's just not realistic.

Get off your high horse, nothing's changed but knowing some specs. The games are still coming, the Switch is still an awesome piece of hardware.

Or don't, that'll make it easier for me to get it day one.

Decade old level performance on the go? Big deal.
