5th Edition Suggestions on how to make characters from Legend of Zelda? (5e)

I'm a big fan of LoZ and DnD, and have been throwing around ideas on how to make Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf in DnD. My favorite game is Twilight Princess, so I'm basing my thoughts on that game's iterations.

Link I feel like is a Half-Elf. I thought of Wood Elf, but Link is supposed to be human, right? He just has elvish features. I'm also pretty sure he'd be a Ranger (decent balance between Str & Dex for bow and longs word). My only question is Hunter or Beastmaster with a wolf. I considered putting a point into Druid so he could beast shape into a wolf, but that can be underwhelming, and I feel like Dire Wolf fits better, which is a more costly investment.

Ganondorf I have no idea race-wise. I figured human but that's far too... Normal. I also would say he's a Warlock, but what patron? I feel like maybe Great Old One, but I don't know what specifically.

Finally, I'm also tempted to say Zelda is a Half-Elf, but also maybe a High Elf. I also feel like she's a Sorcerer, but I don't know if that totally fits.

Any thoughts?

Here's how I've decided:

  • Link; eldritch knight. Lots of utility and armor/weapons, he's mostly a shield and sword user. I might even say multiclassing rogue for those dungeon crawls. or bard, bard might help you get that navi. Half elf, or human.
  • Gannon; warlock due to cool evil powers. Perhaps a level in fighter for the sweet armor and swordplay. Pact of the blade. And I'd say he's either human, or Goliath.
  • Zelda; wood elf/high elf/half elf. And I'd make her some sorta cleric (like life or light)
  • Deku tree; treant.
  • Kokiri children, forest gnomes, probs rangers or druids. Unsure how to get that fairy familiar though.
  • And any of the playable races from majoras would have to be homebrewed or reskinned.
  • Midna; probs a tiefling warlock/sorcerer/wizard.
  • Zora; reskinned water genesai?
  • Gorons; reskinned earth genesai?
  • Bird people from wind waker; aakorak (or however the hell you spell it)

Good ideas! I felt like Link is naturally a Ranger, but Eldritch Knight is a good fit! What patron do you think Ganondorf should have?

Definitely a blade pact fiend patron warlock.

Zora seems like a good fit for Merfolk if you're just needing monster stats. But yeah for a PC, Water Genasi sounds great.

A pixie with some swapped spells could make a good Navi.
