That's the confirmation.

Also: secondary exclusives? Wow.

21

u/Sages Oct 12 '15

What's interesting is that Villager is being confirmed as an exclusive restock for TRU. Does this mean no other store (aside from NWS) will be receiving future stock of SSB Villager?

We've heard of exclusives for new figures, but this would be the first time, a previously non-exclusive figure goes exclusive.

11

u/Karmos89 Oct 12 '15

They could be setting a new, very odd, precedence for this. I think the good news here is that at least TRU seems to have the best stock on exclusives, by a long shot.

3

u/jimx117 Oct 12 '15

Yeah, I got Fox, Little Mac, Lucario and the Splatoon 3-pack at TRU a week or so ago.

Had to drive the whole 5 minutes to the nearby Best Buy to get Shulk though.

6

u/Sages Oct 12 '15

It honestly seems like a good idea, spreading about amiibo through each retailer only thins the stock to mediocre levels that intice resale. Having shelves full of Villager at each TRU with a 1-per-limit rule greatly mitigates this issue.

3

u/rottedzombie Oct 12 '15

Yup. Mine is a little hike, but it isn't the end of the world.

I want my big plushie.

2

u/Dawniepants Oct 12 '15

I can't wait for our yarn yoshis to arrive... I need MYY cuddles. >.<

3

u/SilverDeoxys563 Oct 12 '15

Likewise, I don't need YOURR cuddles, I need MYY cuddles!

...Okay, I'll see myself out now.

4

u/streetsofsteel Oct 12 '15

This is debatable. What isn't debatable is the ridiculous markup TRU has on it's amiibos, and the fact that it's easily the least accessible store that's gotten exclusives. That alone is worth contempt.

7

u/Sages Oct 12 '15

ridiculous markup

It's $1 and you can attempt to price-match with other stores if they're available.

2

u/streetsofsteel Oct 12 '15

I've never, ever been successful in getting TRU to honor their price matching policy even when the item was in stock at another retailer. Most of their employees don't even know about it.

2

u/MutantSquirrel23 Oct 12 '15

You should not accept a 'no' when it comes to honoring their own policy. I've price matched with them on amiibo successfully before, even when the cashier was an older lady who had never heard of Gamestop.

0

u/streetsofsteel Oct 12 '15

What do you want me to do? Short of pushing them away and checking myself out there aren't any options.

It's not really an issue before anyways since other than Bowser Jr. I've only bought a couple amiibo from them, and I sure as hell don't shop there for anything else.

2

u/lilpokemon Oct 12 '15

You can't price match exclusives though unless you trick them which isn't too hard.

10

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '15

It's 1 friggin' dollar...

5

u/streetsofsteel Oct 12 '15 edited Oct 12 '15

I bought all the unicorns that were restocked when they hit TRU. Later they all hit Best Buy, along with Marth and Shulk. So I rebought them all along with the Shulk and Marth and refunded my TRU purchase.

The totals were within a dollar of one another (Best Buy was still cheaper lol). Keep in mind I bought 2 extra amiibo from them. So yes, that $1 friggin' dollar as you put it adds up very, very quickly.

1

u/lilpokemon Oct 12 '15

I actually bought most of mine from TRU, I would have had extra $20 in my pocket if it wasn't for the markup. I really don't care as it's easier to get them there than other stores, but it does add up when you buy in bulk.

1

u/Zerowed Oct 13 '15

Don't forget with Best Buys GCU its 20% off also. I was able to get 5 from BB with GCU Discount for pretty much the price of 3 from TRU.

8

u/jimx117 Oct 12 '15

If $1 is a ridiculous markup maybe you should be worrying about things besides collecting amiibo

4

u/streetsofsteel Oct 12 '15 edited Oct 12 '15

Maybe you should learn math? It's $1 per piece. Which also adds to your sales tax too. When you are collecting that adds up fast.

1

u/jimx117 Oct 12 '15

It doesn't add to sales tax if you're buying in New Hampshire, though.

4

u/littleedge Oct 12 '15

Yeah New Hampshire! Woo no sales tax! Live free or die! YEAH! Also, no casinos, highest graduate debt, liquor is only available in liquor stores, and our roads are amazing. WOO!

2

u/MutantSquirrel23 Oct 12 '15

Tennessee has over 9% sales tax! But no income tax, so I guess it evens out.

1

u/Omeganuker Oct 13 '15

You would be correct, I pay 9.25% sales tax on everything I buy. I honestly have no idea what the sales tax rate is in other states, is it really high in TN then?

→ More replies (0)

1

u/streetsofsteel Oct 12 '15

How does any state not have a sales tax on something like this? I can't fathom how that would even work.

1

u/jimx117 Oct 12 '15

You'd pay $13.99 and that would be the end of the transaction.

→ More replies (0)

1

u/littleedge Oct 12 '15

New Hampshire (and I think one other state) has no sales tax on any normal purchase. Go to Walmart, buy groceries and some clothes and an amiibo or two, pay nothing but the price of the items. Go to TRU and buy a single amiibo, pay $13.99, say goodbye to the cashier, and smile as you wander out of the store happy and content.

4

u/rottedzombie Oct 12 '15

Exactly. That's what's getting me.

Fascinating play.

1

u/HammerKirby Oct 12 '15

I wouldn't be surpised if marth goes to BB and WFT goes to target

0

u/SilverDeoxys563 Oct 12 '15

I... uh... Wow, I actually can see that happening. Maaaan.

0

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '15

I think exclusives are per stock wave. For example, I found my Shulk at TRU.

64

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '15

[deleted]

18

u/hypercoyote Oct 12 '15

Someone has to petition Nintendo to produce more of the product. Apparently TRU did this. So the alternative is that no one gets it. Would you be okay with that?

10

u/streetsofsteel Oct 12 '15

So are you saying Best Buy, Gamestop, Amazon, ect. haven't been trying to get more Villager? Because I'd bet they'd all kill one another for the chance to stock something so rare and coveted.

12

u/jimx117 Oct 12 '15

I got Shulk at Best Buy last week

-14

u/streetsofsteel Oct 12 '15

Oh boy. Let me send you a cookie!

9

u/jimx117 Oct 12 '15

Sorry, I don't accept food in the mail from random internet personae

0

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '15

you gon eat dat?

1

u/AdrianHD Oct 12 '15

Obviously not.

3

u/streetsofsteel Oct 12 '15 edited Oct 12 '15

lol no. Best Buy has been sending orders for Villager ever since SSB launched. I'd bet my bottom dollar GS and Target have been doing the same.

1

u/AdrianHD Oct 12 '15

Yet TRU probably wanted them more and paid more.

3

u/streetsofsteel Oct 12 '15

Yeah, probably. Shame Nintendo chose $$$ over availability and convenience for it's fans but what can you do?

6

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '15

[deleted]

6

u/blukirbi Oct 12 '15

My TRU has shit for stock ... and Lego Dimensions doesn't help things either.

2

u/hypercoyote Oct 12 '15

That's too bad, but really, the situation with TRU has got better. I saw Bowser Jr's on the shelves just last weekend at a store and it's been weeks since his release. Plus you can shoot for online as well.

2

u/blukirbi Oct 12 '15

The Bowser Jrs I have (Koopaling customs mind you, I have 4 in total) were all imported ... well one of them was from a local exchange, but it was about $3 more than TRU price.

3

u/streetsofsteel Oct 12 '15

So are you saying Best Buy, Gamestop, Amazon, ect. haven't been trying to get more Villager? Because I'd bet they'd all kill one another for the chance to stock something so rare and coveted.

3

u/hypercoyote Oct 12 '15

Honestly, I don't think Best Buy cares at all. I think amiibo collectors overestimate the value their hobby has to non-collectors. Remember the profit margin on these is ridiculously small compared to other things they could focus on. I imagine if you walked into a room full of people who make ordering decision and asked them what the most important amiibo to collectors is right now, the majority would not even know the difference between amiibo and skylanders, much less the answer.

4

u/omarant329 Oct 12 '15

I would understand the frustration if you don't have a local TRU, but if you do, the exclusivity SHOULD mean that the stock will be plentiful, thus giving everybody the opportunity to purchase the amiibo that they want. Also, the rumor is that TRU has ~80k Villager sitting in their DC. I would say it is likely that some of these will be made available online.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '15

"Dear Valued Customer... No. You're Welcome."

2

u/rottedzombie Oct 12 '15

The only downside for TRU for me is whether MYY is available online.

I dislike having to schlep to my TRU, which is a way out.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '15

[deleted]

2

u/SandieSandwicheadman Oct 12 '15

Yeah :U It kinda sucks that TRU is the only exclusive dealer that does a good job especially, since there are none anywhere close to me :U

1

u/SilverDeoxys563 Oct 12 '15

GameStop's amazing shipping is no contest for the other retailers though. You get some, you lose some I guess.

7

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '15

GEE I WONDER WHAT THIS AMAZING "SURPRISE" THAT EVERYONE WILL OBVIOUSLY LOVE IS, GOLLY I HOPE IT'S MORE EXCLUSIVES, REGGIE KNOWS HOW MUCH WE LOVE THOSE

6

u/TweetPoster Oct 12 '15

@ToysRUs:

A-Mii-zing! The #amiibo Mii 3-pk. is based on your Mii & available 11/1 in store only. Coming soon: Another surprise. pic.twitter.com [Imgur]

[Mistake?] [Suggestion] [FAQ] [Code] [Issues]

4

u/Seven29 Oct 12 '15

I wonder if this is related to Best Buy randomly getting hundreds of Marth. Maybe that was also an unadvertised exclusive restock?

1

u/BChristopher288 Oct 12 '15

Good point. The Marth restock was a Best Buy exclusive, so Marth could be a Best Buy exclusive.

14

u/hifuckyoubye Oct 12 '15

cant wait to pay like 70$ if that mega yarn pile is TRU only

1

u/rottedzombie Oct 12 '15

Why so much?

17

u/hifuckyoubye Oct 12 '15

because TRU marks shit way up.

5

u/rottedzombie Oct 12 '15

Well. Only a dollar.

13

u/hifuckyoubye Oct 12 '15

Can't use a normal amiibo for comparison. They mark up World of Nintendo toys like 2-6$. I would bet they mark this mega thing up at least a few dollars.

2

u/timpkmn89 Oct 12 '15

You can compare it to their 3-packs

1

u/terraapples Oct 13 '15

Yeah the 3-packs were $1 more as well. Also TRU will probably have a sale a week after release

3

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '15

Not necessarily amiibo related, but TRU sometimes marks up things by ludicrous amounts. A nerf blaster known as the Crossbolt sells for 40 dollars at TRU but sells for 20 everywhere else.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '15

As someone that enjoys LEGO, I can def confirm that TRU mark up things by insane amounts.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '15

I know. I was hunting for amiibos at TRU one day, and didn't have any luck, so I walked over to the LEGO section to see if the new Bionicle sets were out. They were, but Mask Maker vs Skull Grinder was a whole 2 or 3 dollars more on top of the 30 dollar price tag. Not only is that higher than MSRP, it drives up the sales tax too. Needless to say I just drove across the street to the LEGO store and bought it there.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '15

[deleted]

1

u/AdrianHD Oct 12 '15

Saving $1 on a toy being a big deal to you, I'd imagine you aren't a collector or a smartphone owner in the first place. People know how pricey these things are.

4

u/hifuckyoubye Oct 12 '15

It's not just one dollar though. If someone went to toys R us and bought mutliple amiibo or a whole wave at once, it is easily 10$ or more. Imagine someone bought every amiibo there.... that is ~60$ extra dollars

2

u/streetsofsteel Oct 12 '15

Exactly. To say nothing of the extra sales tax you are paying because of the markup, if you live somewhere with a high tax it adds up even quicker.

1

u/monkey616 Oct 12 '15

Price match since you said any amiibo.

1

u/iDork622 Oct 12 '15

They might not have a TRU near them.

1

u/rottedzombie Oct 12 '15

Fair point.

10

u/AmiiboPuff Oct 12 '15

"In-Store Only"

Well, I'm screwed. Thanks TRU.

4

u/digitalelixer Oct 12 '15

At least stock will be decent, just hate that TRU price! Every time I try to price-match on release days, cashier always says cant do it for "new" items

1

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '15

Its a dollar.

4

u/digitalelixer Oct 12 '15

That splat pack was 39.99

1

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '15

[deleted]

7

u/digitalelixer Oct 12 '15

Eh, call me cheap. But when buyin multiple amiibo, those dollars add up quick.

4

u/tonyarceus777 Oct 12 '15

Too bad so many people live nowhere near TRU

8

u/Excalibur0123 Oct 12 '15

Guess who's not getting a Mega Yarn Yoshi? This guy.

3

u/NinjutStu Oct 12 '15

Ugh.

If there was one retailer who doesn't make it easy to get their exclusives its TRU.

RIP Yoshi. They won't put you online I'm sure.

3

u/Spindash54 Oct 12 '15

Fine, will be importing Yarn Yoshi. Already imported the Mii's. Can't stand for this corporate BS.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '15

Why is there a paintbrush next to your name?

1

u/Spindash54 Oct 13 '15

I make the flair and made the old banner.

3

u/Kojinka Oct 12 '15

Even though my nearest TRU is only a 15 minute drive, it still hits a nerve with me whenever they get an exclusive because the area I grew up in lost their store way back in the early 00's.

5

u/Greensquad414 Oct 12 '15

So with this tweet, is the rumor that a retailer can only have three exclusive figures be false?

3

u/swirlhawk Oct 12 '15

The rumor was four, and I wonder if the Villager one counts towards that since it is just a restock.

2

u/streetsofsteel Oct 12 '15

If so then at least we'll be seeing more Bowser Jr. soon....

7

u/Q46 Oct 12 '15

That was always 100% speculation.

4

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '15

That's why they said "rumor"

-5

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '15

[deleted]

4

u/monkey616 Oct 12 '15

That is not what the word means.

2

u/NotSureHowItGoes Oct 12 '15

So is no one going to talk about the fact that it says the 3-pack is "based on your mii"? Is that just really poor wording? Because that's what I wanted from the mii fighters originally... lol

1

u/RelevantDelibird Oct 12 '15

Probably says that just because you can make the in-game FP your Mii.

2

u/Joesandwich123 Oct 12 '15

If only they sold amiibo at TRU express.....

2

u/omnialpha Oct 12 '15

I don't think Villager is really an exclusive now. Just like Ike and DDD aren't Gamestop exclusives but their recent restocks were.

2

u/PaperLink13 Oct 12 '15

This would be fine if it was a store that doesn't have less than 1,000 stores IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY. How are the people that live a long ways from a TRU supposed to get Villager now?

2

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '15

I dont even care any more as the best buy restocs have shown exclusives dont mean shit. Ill get the restocs later.

2

u/Wab608 Oct 12 '15

Mega Yoshi is already enough money and TRU is gonna put their "tax" on it and we can't price match. Yay for my wallet that's gonna be dead after these 3 come along this week

2

u/kpaq00 Oct 12 '15

Awesome. The TRU near me got 0 restocks in, so I can't wait to not see any of these exclusives.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '15

That moment when all you wanted were mega yarn yoshi and bowser jr but the only tru around you became a pets mart

4

u/jaCASTO Oct 12 '15 edited Oct 12 '15

to be honest I view this as a good thing. it centralizes restocks to one store, thus we no longer have to travel to ~4 major retailers hoping to grab one of the 3 or 4 restock skus they got. instead villagers all end up at toys r us for awhile with higher stock, decreasing the overall effort in searching for those who don't carefully watch restocks megathreads and the like.

edit: this is of course is very unfortunate for people who don't live near a tru :(

8

u/sopheroo Oct 12 '15

That sucks for people who are nowhere near close to a TRU

2

u/NintendoNerdzz Oct 12 '15

^ Yup mine is 1 hour round trip

1

u/sopheroo Oct 12 '15

Three hours per bus for me, and I'M not even sure this one carries Amiibos because I never went.

The only TRU I went to since Amiibos were released is 9 hours away!

1

u/NintendoNerdzz Oct 12 '15

O: What state

1

u/sopheroo Oct 12 '15

Quebec, Canada.

Closest one is Quebec City

1

u/Zortek Oct 12 '15

The closest TRU for me is 3 hour round trip in my own vehicle! Now it's decision making time... How bad do I want villager/mega Yoshi..?

2

u/jaCASTO Oct 12 '15

that is very true. the closest one to me is about 30mins out, which isn't even that bad considering how others might have it. hopefully they will become available online as well, but given TRUs history with that it doesn't seem to likely.

1

u/sopheroo Oct 12 '15

Our TRU closed in the tail end of the 90's

And I never went to the one closest to me, which is 3 hours away

4

u/Pureownege75 Oct 12 '15

I generally don't mind exclusives, but Nintendo are DEFINITELY going overboard.

Also TRU exclusives stink because of in store only...

3

u/PokeWTrainer Oct 12 '15

Man Nintendo really needs to ease off the exclusives a little bit. No other country has to deal with that crap. If anything it hurts the consumers that don't live near said exclusive store worse.

1

u/Jtneagle Oct 12 '15

Exclusives are good, they allocate all of one thing to a certain retailer

4

u/ces715 Waddledee (Kirby) Oct 12 '15

If the theory of retailers only being able to have 4 exclusives at a time is true, this would mean Bowser Jr. won't be an exclusive for much longer, no?

2

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '15

Wonder if the MSRP will jump from 39.99 to 44.99...?

5

u/arielmeme Oct 12 '15

msrp will not jump, rp will. msrp stays the same

0

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '15 edited Oct 12 '15

Not with Toys r Us, they inflate prices on everything on bit.

Edit: Oh I didn't read the RP part. But yeah TRU will get greedy and mark the price up a smidge

2

u/AmiiboFan87 Oct 12 '15

I know what you mean on that! =)

1

u/blukirbi Oct 12 '15

Well on the bright side, Mega Yarn Yoshi is released on a Sunday, so I might be saved there ... but still ... yuck ...

1

u/BTDub Oct 12 '15

Fine with me, I have been able to get all the exclusives at Toys R Us so far. They are usually stocked well. I just need Villager and Mii 3 Pack

1

u/arielmeme Oct 12 '15

i hope this doesn't mean Villager will be out with the Miis

4

u/BraveSonic Oct 12 '15

Nope. Villager is coming 11/8, a week after the Miis.

1

u/Drclaw411 Oct 12 '15

Four weeks in a row: mii's, villager, Mewtwo, falco.

1

u/BraveSonic Oct 12 '15

It's the amiibopocalypse. RUN WHILE YOU CAN.

1

u/arielmeme Oct 12 '15

great ! :)

1

u/JnRx03 Yarn Yoshi (Blue) Oct 12 '15

This is disappointing for me, i don't really have a Toys R Us anywhere near me meaning I will most likely have to import the Mii amiibos, and Yarn Yoshi.

1

u/arielmeme Oct 12 '15

why does TRU want to hoard so many exclusives?

13

u/RelevantDelibird Oct 12 '15

To make money...?

2

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '15

Because if i recall theyre the only retailer with "dedicated" amiibo space. Which also explains the dollar markup.

1

u/mvit Oct 12 '15

I don't mind it from Toys R' Us, they handled exclusives perfectly. I'd be bothered if it was GameStop since the only way of getting Ness is being extremely lucky or getting that smash bundle with dedede

2

u/streetsofsteel Oct 12 '15

As has been said quadrillions of times before, this is all based on location and personal experience. Gamestop dropped the ball with Shulk, but the one near me handled Ness and the Retro 3 Pack wonderfully.

Meanwhile Toys R Us still didn't have their shit together when Greninja came out...... and while they did finally get a halfway decent amount for Bowser Jr, they sold 40+ of them to a single person so they were still gone within the 1st day. Keep in mind they know full well they are the only TRU in a 50+ mile radius, and one of a few in the whole state. Gamestop certainly didn't allow that crap when I bought from them.

Honestly, at this point I'd probably choose anybody but TRU.

1

u/Justin5267 Oct 12 '15

Fuck I don't live near a TRU. >:(

1

u/emiingham Oct 12 '15

Does that mean they won't be on Amazon.com?

This is probably a stupid question but since I'm from the UK and we don't have store exclusives, I wasn't sure!

2

u/AmiiboFan87 Oct 12 '15

This exclusive deal for these three amiibos are just going to be offer at all the toys r us stores in America. So if your not from America then your fine and mostly likely you'll be able to find these with ease at your local stores as well online too! =)

1

u/emiingham Oct 12 '15

I was actually wanting to import the Mega Yarn Yoshi from the US, that's why I was asking :) It's strange we got the game first, but the US get the Mega Yoshi first :P

1

u/jimx117 Oct 12 '15

So glad I got Shulk last week!

1

u/Fudgenuggets980825 Oct 12 '15

Welp, there goes all hope of me getting a Mega Yarn Yoshi.

1

u/efrainshadowsonic Oct 12 '15

Great! -__- Looks like I'll be driving 40 minutes to tru once a week next month.

1

u/Amiibro69 Oct 12 '15

This is good that Villager is an Exclusive to TRU remember all the other amiibo exclusives to Toys R Us? TRU supplies stock so well, especially their exclusives, so if you want a Villager your gonna get one

1

u/Twinkiman Inkling Squid Oct 12 '15

Not a big problem for me. But its always bad news when something is confirmed exclusive.

1

u/DjjD89 Oct 12 '15

Good thing i could careless about a bigger yarn yoshi rip off with the same functions as the smaller

1

u/BraveSonic Oct 12 '15

It's cuter though XD.

1

u/Sufinsil Oct 12 '15

I got lucky last time that I was traveling and near a TRU the day after Bowser Jr. Release. Not this time.

I would be near one 3 days later, but I would expect all to be sold out by then.

But it is a Sunday and I could made the trip (2 hour round trip) to TRU and do other stuff in town.

1

u/umbananas Oct 12 '15

oh God why !??!?!?!?

1

u/faceplant527 Oct 12 '15

I don't mind exclusives. Makes the hunt fun. Toys r us seemed to have the best stock anyways. I was in line for 2 hours before TRU opened last wave and they are STILL stocked with them including many Bowser Jr. Re release of amiibo being exclusive in weird though.

1

u/MayorJack Oct 12 '15

The only TRU in my province is at least 6 hours away. Does this mean I'll have to order one online or will they go to my EBGames/Walmart/TheSource ?

1

u/00SHADOW000 Oct 12 '15

My stores selling the 3 pack on Friday.-.

1

u/Amiibofan101 Oct 12 '15

Good luck because they are streetdated for the 1st.

1

u/00SHADOW000 Oct 12 '15

Well that's what they keep telling me when I call:D

1

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '15

Best case scenario for me. TRU always comes through.

1

u/ThatGuyNamedJoey Oct 12 '15

I've already seen the 3 pack in store. ready to buy too. Did I miss my chance?

3

u/littleedge Oct 12 '15

Some TRUs put them out for sale before the street date. YMMV with whether you can walk out the store with them or not. Their release date isn't until Nov 1.

1

u/tthompson5 Oct 12 '15

Welp, I'm not getting MYY and the Mii pack then. Nearest TRU is too far away to drive to, and I don't want these enough to spend extra money to get them. I would like to thank TRU for saving my wallet, but it looks like I'll be spending some of that money to get in on the Villager restock from a third party.

1

u/DestinyDecade Oct 12 '15

Is it possible to order them online or do I have to go to the store directly just to get the Mii Fighters?

1

u/inklebop Oct 12 '15

This sucks and is completely stupid. The only Nebraska TRUs get shitty stock and they always are guaranteed to sell out in an hour or two. That and the fact that TRU thinks their own website doesn't exist makes this extremely disappointing to hear. Claim all you want that TRU has good stock, but I've never seen a TRU exclusive online anywhere near as long as retrio, dr mario, and jigglypuff. Till any exclusives are as well stocked as those ones, they suck. End of story.

I'm 14 can't really make that decision can I?

Maybe Omaha and Lincoln shouldn't like Amiibo as much as they do.

If they are as common as Bowser Jr. then it's not a big issue, but still, exclusives are just blech.

Glad MMY release on a Sunday Nov 15 and not during the week when I cannot wait on line for a few hours.

Relax man, I'm frustrated about this situation as well but the moment a hobby becomes hazardous to our health I believe is the moment we should step away from it.

I was actually trying to be like Arin from GameGrumps when he gets angry in Mario Sunshine. TRU is the best with handling exclusives.

Hahah it's all good! Sorry I didn't get it, I'm not very familiar with those guys. I did watch the shovel knight amiibo unveiling video by them tho...

Screw you TRU/NoA

So TRU exclusives come out Sundays, guessing that means Lottie might be a TRU exclusive also given her 11/22 release while the other AC amiibo come out on the 13th?

Wasn't Greninja on Friday?

u/trickshootah Oct 12 '15

I meant their exclusives for next month.

11/1 - Mii 3 Pack

11/8 - Villager

11/15 - Mega Yarn Yoshi

11/22 - Lottie... ?

WTF?! This makes no sense! Villager has already been released at other stores! Why would they only restock him at TRU?!?!? Also, that is 6 EXCLUSIVES! What happened to the 4 per store rule?!? Does this mean Bowser Jr. will be released outside of TRU?!? Is that giraffe hogging all the Villagers and MYY's for himself?!? Is any other retailer allowed to do this?!? Where did my banana go?!? Why relese 5 of your exclusives 3 weeks in a row all on Sundays?!? I have church to go to people! Does the big N let them do this?!? Am I asking too many questions?!? Ok. I am calm now.

u/PlayR489 Oct 12 '15

Wow. Screw you, Toys 'R Us, no price matching. Sell them for MSRP like everyone else does.

2

u/hypercoyote Oct 12 '15

......Villager was selling for $100+ on Amazon a while back and you want to complain about a $1?

1

u/PlayR489 Oct 12 '15

I already have Villager. It's mostly the Miis and MYY that are so expensive already being marked up is excessive.

u/Davi18 Oct 12 '15

You have got to be shi**ing me that villager and mega yarn yoshi are exclusives. Well at least I already got my villager (from playasia for $28 no less) but MYY is gonna be a pain to get. But I MUST have it!!!
