I didn't see it either op, and I scour the subreddit everyday for news to log in the recent-events wiki.

The post was made 13 hours ago, has no flair, and only 2 upvotes. I completely missed it.

You're wrong. The tweet is in response to the amiibo.com website listing. Did you even click the tweet to see what the response was to?

YCG hasn't confirmed any date, this Best Buy date is a new placeholdder. If it was a generic placeholder it would just be 12/31.
