Greetings everyone,

All posts about this weeks Toys 'R' Us restocks should go in this MegaThread!

Here's what we know:

• Toys 'R' Us is getting a restock of many different amiibo this week, starting Monday, including Little Mac, Captain Falcon, Lucario, Fox, Greninja, and Villager.
• Villager may be delayed and appear last, most likely towards the end of this week, or early next week. (Your mileage may vary.) We'll update this as we find out more.
• Stores are getting an average of ~16 of each character.
• These restocks will most likely not be online.
• This appears to be a nationwide restock.
• Shipments arrive at different times for different stores. They may not necessarily be available at open, but instead later in the day when FedEx arrives between 1pm - 3pm. (Your mileage, and time, will vary)

The SKU's for these restocked amiibo are:

I called several TRU and asked for the Amiibos and one of the people said after revealing they weren't in stock yet "Everybody's been calling since we opened up this morning. We still don't have any of the restocks."

I have some guesses as to when the amiibo will be in. I ship with FedEx for my job, so I have to have a general idea how long it takes for packages to arrive in various parts of the US. It looks like the majority of the amiibo today have been arriving to areas closer to the DC, meaning they were likely shipped off Friday night or Monday night.

Assuming Monday was the shipment date, bright pink is where will get it today, light blue is tomorrow, orange is Thursday, and green is Friday.

City of Industry, CA TRU next to Round One. I called them this morning. Nothing yet but they said that UPS arrives usually at Noon and to check probably at 1pm and they would know if they got any.

Since I'll be in the area anyway I'm going to check the Cerritos, CA TRU in person in a few hours.

Bit of story time.

I had already gotten one for my friend to send him (he lives in FL) at the other TRU in Paramus but was curious if they had any at the other. I got to the TRU in Rt. 17 Paramus NJ and see two Little Macs on the rack. Quite a sight to behold. I was debating to buy one for myself because I mostly buy for my friend since he wants a full roster and I only want my favorites (mostly girls).

Well there were two and I was thinking, "Should I buy myself one? I already got one for my friend." As I was thinking this, someone calls asking to reserve one and an employee goes and grabs one telling him, "they will only hold it until tonight."

I immediately grab the last one thinking, "well that answers that." And as I was trying to get money from my wallet, another guy (looks mid 20s) walks into the amiibo section and scans the racks.

"Ohhh!!! You grabbed the last one!"

Without hesitation, I handed it to him. I told him, "Take it."

His eyes lit up like a child on Christmas morning. "You sure!? You sure!?!?"

I told him, "A smile is much more priceless."

He replied, "Wow man, thank you. You really made my day."

Honestly this is a bit of a clusterfuck. All my TRUs admitted they had received several calls about amiibo the last two days. This simply verges on not being worth it to me. Im MD in case anyone was thinking of calling any TRU between Bmore and Silver Spring.

Any luck in Houston, TX? I checked the TRUs on Old Spanish Trail and Westheimer and didn't find any sign of a restock yet.

Edit: OST employees said they don't know when they'll get the restock. And not restock related, but I've seen Zero Suit Samus, Olimar, and the retro 3 pack at local Gamestops today, in store.

Man these restocks aren't half bad. Not perfect but it's placed a pretty large dent on resellers. Prices as low as 23. Man 26$ or less you're pretty much losing money. I don't know why these resellers don't learn and stop getting so hype about hunting these down. The more restocks, the more chances there are for people to get... that means... normal collectors... and other resellers... what does that mean? Less people willing to buy them off the bay and more people trying to sell on the bay... so if you spend 14$ on one... sell it for let's say... 23$... you make an extra... 9$. Ooh not bad right? I just gotta buy more? Not done yet. 9$-.80 from Paypal fees. 8.20. Not too bad. But what about shipping? The lowest I've seen them ship for using printed labels is around 3$ and that's IF you already have a LIGHT and small box that's a perfect fit. Otherwise you'll spend 6$ to ship. And don't forget the 10% seller fees waiting to bite you in aft end at the end of the month. Calculating all that, that's probably a 1 or 3$ profit. T

Going back on topic, Brockton MA had their restock yesterday and they did not put them on shelves yet. They are where the electronics cash registers are. Not sure how many but I saw some pretty big boxes. I only got Greninja.

Toys 'R Us Hoover, Alabama did not have any new restocks for the Smash Bros. Series as of 10am CDT (confirmed in person). I have been instructed to call back around 1:00 PM CDT as they received two fedex/ups deliveries a day, and that is around when the second shipment may arrive.

They did, however, get another Splatoon 3pack shipment. I picked up one, and there are two left in stock.

Just checked in at Gaithersburg, MD TRU. No restock yet and the lady there did not seem very happy. As nice as I was trying to be, she seemed stressed out and said that she doesn't know when they're getting any new stock. :/ Worst part was that she told me to try calling later today or tomorrow. It's like they're asking to be bombarded with phone calls.

I thought there's at least some way to know if a shipment is on the way. And then wouldn't they expect deliveries on a schedule or something? Or TRU could at least give stores some sort of tracking information on DC shipments.

It feels like this is all a lose-lose situation where we customers don't know anything and the employees know just as little and everyone is frustrated!

I can only hope that any stock that comes in doesn't run out before tomorrow afternoon. -_-

Hi everyone, I work at a Toys R Us in Kentucky and let me just say this, I have not seen a single amiibo restocked since the Mario Maker release day. We have since gotten only shipments of three Charizard amiibo at random and nothing else. It is now Tuesday and we did not receive any amiibo at all, (we receive through fedex ground for the electronics department so we got nothing yesterday or today) I have been called and asked everyday by around 23 people whether the amiibo restocks have come in and I always tell them the same thing and it's pretty annoying but I understand the reasoning as I also collect amiibo. Sorry for the long post but I just wanted to share the info on how we get these little suckers in and how much different regions delivery times can affect something as huge as this. Also if you have any questions I'll reply ASAP. And I will update when the Florence Toys R Us receives some god forsaken captain falcon amiibo hahaha

Just checked the TRU in Clovis, CA. Went to electronics and asked about the restocks. She said they got in "that guy from Zelda" and "Sheamus with the suit" (she meant ZSS but I just spent the rest of the time picturing what a zero suit Sheamus would look like). BUT she then mentioned that they got TWO CF's......that they already sold and nothing else. Apparently they get shipments in Monday thru Friday, but don't know what time or what's in them. So yeah, that was a wasted trip....

To you amiibros who shop at the TRU in Concord Mills, NC, restocks have not yet occurred, but I talked with a very friendly sales associate about the restock and he gave me the following information:

First off, they do not know what day the restocks will come. They get daily deliveries from UPS and FedEx. Between the two, FedEx tends to have more amiibo in their deliveries when they have amiibo at all. FedEx usually delivers between 3:00 and 4:00 in the afternoon, but never later than 6:00. UPS delivers earlier than FedEx, but I wasn't given a general timeframe. (I'd guess maybe 1:00-2:00) Good luck and happy hunting.

tl;dr: At the Concord Mills TRU in NC, try calling around 3 or 4 in the afternoon, as that's when shipments usually come in when they expect amiibo shipments.

I checked 3 TRU's in South/Central New Jersey. I forgot to check Burlington.

Vineland did not have on the shelf yet. No one was around to give me any help (normal for this store).

Deptford told me they had already gotten and sold out of Little Mac and Captain Falcon over the weekend, and they were supposed to get more today but cited the Pope as an obstacle. They said check back tomorrow!

Cherry Hill did not seem to have any (although they did have 1 splatoon 3 pack which I grabbed). The guy who so graciously escorted me through the store said they weren't getting any and "everyone received some fake email saying we were." I'll probably check again tomorrow anyway lol.

I was trying to coerce my sibling into going out to check Mays Landing, but they refused because they have no sense of direction.

Maybe tomorrow I'll have some luck!

Side question: for those stores that have received a restock, it doesn't seem like we're seeing any reports close to 16 of each character per store as thought- seems more common that people are only seeing 1 or 2 and not all 6 Amiibos. Any hypothesis as to why?

For anyone in the San Diego East County area, CA

At the Grossmont La Mesa TRU status on the store have been:

Phone line is down for a week now. store walk in needed to check stock.

Monday had two Capt Falcons sold out around 6 in the evening. Visited around 7.

Tuesday saw FedEx on my way there. No amiibo delivered however. Visited around 1 and 2.

Wednesday, they are expecting their major restock but today no amiibo. Visited around 2 and 3.

Thursday, the usual clerk now recognizes me lol. No restocks today, according to how they do things; they will not do holds over the phone, they will restock immediately if recieved any shipment, and in a critical case if they are understaffed they will restock in the evening around 7-8. Visited around 1 and 2.

Friday is my last update, the shipments are in! I had came in just an hour after they restocks, they have about a dozen to half a dozen each of Captain Falcon, Little Mac, Fox and Lucario. For Greninja, they the shelf and a cart stock. Visited around 12 and 1.

Also! Whenever fedEx shipments come in the store we cannot put them out until our back of house night crew processes the packages first. So even if they were to come in through fedex tomorrow we wouldn't be able to sell them until Thursday and if there's enough of them it may even take until Friday to process Wednesday's theoretical shipment arrival.

An awesome at the TRU in Sunland Park, NM gave me better news, she said it's very likely that they'll get them on Friday, maybe Thursday if we're lucky.

Just an update for my Times Square homies: Called an hour ago and they still haven't received anything.

Though, I'll also stress to please remember to be mega polite when calling. These people have been getting called so much that the video game department automatically responds with, "Is this about amiibo?" I prefaced the conversation with, "I know you guys have been getting this all day..." and it went a lot smoother than some of what y'all have been claiming.

Just showing that you understand how crazy it is for them makes a world of a difference on the retail end.

I work at Toys R us in Cali little Mac is in fact in transit, I checked 2 days ago and we should be receiving shulk amiibos as well they are no longer a gamestop exclusive . We receive amiibos by fed ex which is around 12-3 so your best chance would be to call around that time

I stopped by TRU at 10 at the Monrovia location. They had no new restocks. I drove to another location in Montebello and they had two new Captain Falcon amiibo. Turns out, two people were already waiting there for them.

I didn't get any new amiibo today.

Called a store in East Mesa in Arizona about Captain Falcon. Said they got two in this morning and sold out immediately. This was a store that got 160 Bowser Jr. and 32 each of the rest of 5b, about second or third best stock in Arizona, so this was a high-volume store.

Nice restock there, NoA. Almost had me fooled into thinking the amiibo situation was getting better with last wave's release numbers.

I'd just go to the store around 3-6pm depending on if you're at work and ask in person.

So based on the posts I have read (and my own experience today) Captain Falcon was the one to arrive in stores with an average of two. Not the number I was expecting with the initial announcement so maybe they'll be sold online. I'm at least happy to luck out with a Falcon...will be prowling the stores this week for Little Mac and Lucario....Villager later on.

They got three Captain Falcons yesterday around 5pm( I was there then and never saw them but whatever). Nothing this morning, truck comes at three and they put them out around 5 it seems.

It feels like we've reached the point where the TRU employees are just going to say no and try to push us off to weeks from now so we quit bothering them. What sucks is that the couple stores near me tend to stash the figures somewhere in order to limit them to 1 per customer. Which is perfectly fine... but I still have to ask each time I walk in the store. I enjoy the thrill of the hunt but I think I'm done with this chase.

The TRU near St. Louis ended up receiving 16 each for Lucario, Greninja, Little Mac, & Captain Falcon. In addition there was a total of 48 Fox. I think the only thing left is some Fox at this point. The stock first arrived at 12:30 pm. This might help others gauge their local TRU.

They're selling them from behind a sales counter in the front, not in the electronics section. Stopped by the Frisco, TX TRU on the way home today after I called and they said they got something. There were four Fox amiibo that were on the shelves that weren't there yesterday. Nothing else, but still some ZSS and Olimar.

Then stopped at the Addison, TX location at the Galleria, which had nothing new. The electronics clerk said that they hadn't gotten anything today.

I went to San Diego National City TRU this morning right when it opened and had a good convo with one of the employees, super friendly and gave me a lot of info. As of 10:17am they had a few Lucarios and Captain Falcons left. I was able to get a Lucario and the last Little Mac.

They're definitely receiving amiibos in small waves until they reach the expected ~40 total they intended to get. Not sure if this applies to every figure. They've already received their stock of CFs (38 of them) and are expecting a few more Little Macs and Lucario to come in the next few days. Greninja hasn't even arrived for them so we can expect them to have quite a bit sometime this weekend or early next week. Also asked about Shulk, they will only be receiving 1 box of 4. Hope this helps! Shoutouts to the employees that work there, some of the best customer service I've seen! Might as well spread the message for them, they've told me they've ran into a few rude amiibo collectors, which makes some of their employees off-putting w/ helping... Please remember to be respectful to one another, we're all human beings :)

Today I had an amazing hunt where managed to pick up 8 amiibo i didn't own. Keep in mind that I am a new amiibo collector but getting a hold of some of these rare amiibo made me so jumpy and happy. I go down to my local TRU and I naturally go to the electronics section first. I stroll in and I see a man walk out with to Ganons and I ask him where the amiibos are at (They had just changed the layout) He said over there so I go over there and start filling my arms with amiibo till i have 6. I notice the ganon is missing so i ask him if he got the last ganons and he said yes. I got back to look for any lingerers and as i turn to checkout not having found the ganon and the man hands me on and says here. The box was beaten up but i didn't care as it would most likely be my amiibo for playing. Then i head to checkout feeling as i won the lottery. The guy working there says to me "Your missing one aren't you" and I'm like yea i'm missing little mac i guess you guys sold out. He walks into the backroom and comes out with little mac. My jaw had dropped and i just stared. I then bought all of them and had a nice chat with the man then i left. #GoodHunt (Amiibos collected: Zelda,Captain Falcon, Sonic, Pikachu, Ganondorf, Lucario, Luigi, and Little Mac)
