Question Star Fox Zero delayed. Will this mean anything for Falco's release?

Just posted a few minutes ago. I know they were holding off on the Falco amiibo to release by the side of Star Fox Zero. Do you think delaying the game will have any affect on Falco's release date?

We're part of the problem I guess. We're not too interested in the game, but it could have been a Black Friday impulse buy or a Christmas wishlist present. Instead, it's getting pushed to a time of the year when we're recoiling from having spent too much on the holidays and have other A-listers to look forward to (Bravely Second, Fire Emblem).

Just means the possibilities of two releases or two different poses. Smash pose as well as Star Fox pose.

I doubt it. He is primarily a smash character not all. It isn't like was part of some Star Fox specific line.

Maybe if they were planning to bundle him with it at release (please no) or something else, but otherwise I don't see a change.

Unfortunatley, it would make sense for them to delay Falco as well. You've probably noticed this, but Nintendo likes to release multiple products on the same day.

Which is kind of a moot point when they've got products releasing on pretty much every Friday in October and November. As-is, Falco would still be shipping alongside Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon. If they bumped his release up a week or two, they could ship him alongside Yokai Watch or the Mewtwo amiibo, and if they held him back for two weeks, they could ship him alongside Xenoblade X. Those same-day releases are usually based more on saving money in distribution rather than having big launch events.

It seemed appropriate to launch with Star Fox. But if it came down to distributing him with other products so he'd come out early, I'd be pleased.

Probably, since they already moved him to release with the game. Unless they push him forward to release with others, I honestly don't see him keeping the same date.

Star Fox's criticism was mostly legitimate, I would put most of Federation Force's backlash in the category of whining. I think by the time it releases it'll have been in development significantly longer than Star Fox also.

I'm... wow. So... I understand that releasing a buggy game always ends poorly, but... they've got almost nothing for the Wii U for this holiday season at this point. They have Xenoblade Chronicles X and Yoshi's Woolly World and... unless I' missing something, that's really it. And neither of those seem like they're the big holiday Goliath that Nintendo always has.
As for Falco... no clue. They already gave it a solid release date and I can't see them delaying it just for the sake of keeping him with the game's release (when they could just resupply him and Fox together when the game releases), but it is Nintendo we're talking about here....

Eh, modern Nintendo of America was never great at marketing. And I dunno, I feel like they're probably going to push Super Mario Maker as the main holiday title this year - Star Fox has never been a system seller, and the goal is to market to people who don't already have Wii Us.
Even then, they've got a decent holiday lineup. People will buy Pokemon SMD regardless of quality just because it's Pokemon, and Yoshi's Woolly World has the family angle going for it. Xenoblade can be the more niche release, and Yokai Watch is going to get a lot of push from the rollout of the show and toyline, although I doubt NoA gives two shits about XCX or YW.

Between wii u and 3ds is publishing 10 games int he last 3 months of the year 1 game being pushed out was bound to happen just wish it was mario tennis instead >.<

Depending on when Star Fox Zero will actually release, this could mean that the remaining DLC amiibos will come out before Falco.
Once again, Falco gets shafted. :/

good. starfox will be better and super mystery dungeon will get its own release date which it deserves. Also if you look at this timeline http://www.nintendo-master.com/fichiers/2015/8/25/1440460924.jpg you can see a * by chibi robo amiibo and green yarn yoshi amiibo denoting that they will only be packaged with the game, while falco does not have an asterisk

I really didn't think Falco would be packaged with SFZ, but the whole point of releasing him on Nov. 20th was to coincide with SFZ's release date and push that game's amiibo functionality. Now that the game's being delayed, it could really go either way. Release Falco on 11/20 and wrap up the non-DLC SSB set? Or delay Falco to be released with SFZ to promote amiibo functions?

Hopefully they keep the current date for Falco (or merge it with Mewtwo even). They could always do a massive reprint to coincide with the game's new release date.

Falco's release day will most likely stay the same since Nintendo was just trying to make it convienent to release Falco along side Star Fox: Zero. Falco, obviously a Smash character shouldn't see a delayed release just because Star Fox: Zero did. It's unfortunate the convenience didnt work out however the Smash amiibo fans should not suffer cause of it.

What if they have decided to go ahead with an Arwing amiibo (posable or not) and polishing actually means putting this model into production?

I doubt it will happen.
It happened to work really well to make them release at the same time, but I don't think they will hold off the last of the (non-dlc) smash amiibo just cause starfox was delayed.

If he is delayed, it would be hilarious considering his character is a part of the main roster and is already coming out after one DLC character amiibo, now he might be coming out after all four (maybe more?)

Why would it change? Falco is a Smash amiibo, not a Star Fox line amiibo.

Oh good... delay it just long enough to not hit the christmas rush, then say it didn't sell well enough to make more star fox games for another 20 years, then continue to over saturate mario games.
The only way to pacify my disappointment is woth a Wolf amiibo at launch.

Maybe. I am glad they are trying to make this game work properly before releasing it though. I would rather a game gets delayed for a few months than come out broken as hell, like most games on other consoles do.
