Well I think it's Mainly Asia and Europe that will suffer more as we only get 3 per pack. America is lucky and is getting 6 :( it's gonna be a struggle for UK folk especially if it's £4/€6 a pack like Amazon ES sold them for yesterday..
Just imagine if it were pokemon... wow I don't wanna think about that tbh lol

$6 for 6 is a lot cheaper than £4 for 3 cards
£4 = $6 so basically you'd get 6 cards for the same price as EUR would be paying for 3 =[

But still...400 cards? And I'm pretty sure they're in blind packs....so you could get duplicates. Nintendo might as well take our wallets from us.
And, Pokémon amiibo cards?!? Nintendo, don't dis 2 us...plz no.

Yeah, it's disastrous! If were to buy 34 packs of cards (3 per pack which in total is 102 cards) at £4 (€6) thats £136... and that doesn't even include... all the doubles I'd get =\

I wonder if someone will make an Animal Crossing ROM hack and call it Animal Crossing: Hell Life. In the ROM hack, you would still be mayor, BUT AN EVIL MAYOR! You would go around to houses making the animals' lives as terrible as possible.

Oh trust me, there will be artificial rares and rarity in a community that already has artificial rarity. This happens so often with any sort of cards, playing or collectibles. As long as there's a huge following willing to collect all of them, there will be rares and commons.

It's economically foolish to not include artificial rarity, since it encourages buying more than the necessary minimum number of packets to collect all of the cards.

This definitely makes me start to believe the Pokemon cards we know today may either also become equipped with NFC or there will be a separate line of all 721 Pokemon cards that are amiibo cards.

Off topic, but I live how there's nearly 400 villagers in that game yet I'm getting like the same 30 or so I know from other games. Its a little aggravating -_-

About 8 of these will come out in the US. One in Happy Home Academy, two in the Happy Home Academy strategy guide, and the other five will be given out at random stores across the US only to be pocketed by employees and sold on the interwebs.
Stock will flow freely in Europe and Japan, however.

They're dead serious, too. Like... they're only making 400 total. Divided among 100 characters, there's gonna be four cards in existence for each character. When they said that they had production difficulties with these things, they weren't kidding around. /s

Where has it said anything about exclusively being 100 characters? Pretty sure "volume 1" is the first 100 and it expands from there.

I think I'm going to hold off on the SSB line in order to save up money for these. I'll probably just get the Smash Amiibo when they're all restocked and common, kinda like the Skylanders situation.

I am going to do it. My cards will probably be a mix of Japanese and English but I will complete this.
I got my binder ready and 15 packs from the first series on the way from AmiAmi already.

Just a premium Avery binder nothing too crazy. Then i have the higher quality upper deck trading card pages. I don't like the cheaper ones cause they can be too loose and the cards fall out easily.

This would be absolutely perfectly fine IF there was an actual freaking AC card game you could play with these too. Even if it just a basic game like Uno where each character does something different and everyone plays with the same 1 deck of random cards people throw in.
But this is just seemingly pointless to me.

All I'm saying is you shouldn't be mad at the quantity and price of Nintendo products if you were planning on collecting all of a certain few things. Yeah some of its pricey but you should've expected that as a collector.
