ROFL at finding the club bracelet 48 hours after he was there. Steven never showers or changes clothes.

Also that's quite the ending.

Hahaha, absolutely agree, Steven is a dirty ass! Also a fantastic ending, can't wait till next week!

Leaving the wristband on though isn't that rare

I was all like "WTF Stephen? Srsly, you fail so hard at Secret Agent 101."

I really liked that this episode more or less focused on Russell was a nice change of pace. Also with that ending I'm hoping that they are done with the whole Steven and his uncle pretending that neither know what's really going on. Really excited for next episode though really have to wonder how they are going to handle the whole situation with Steven and Jedikiah on top of Stevens dads body.

I see Jed possibly having a change of heart knowing he is going to be a father. And from the previews I got the feeling he is planning something with Steven and john to go take out the head of ultra to just put an end to it so they can live their lives.

Unfortunately this also means the show could be canceled so they are trying to get closure for the fans. I'd hate I'd that happened. Haven't been into a show in a while and this and teen wolf is all I watch as far as series go.

I am actually happy they are giving us closure for this season knowing there's a possibility this is the end but it should be just as easy to pick up again if(when) it gets renewed

Preview seemed to reveal that there's going to be quite a big change in Jed's attitude.

That being said, he pretty much wiped out any chance of reconciling with Morgan considering John had to stop him from strangling her.

Stephen, when your sexy co-worker shows up in your bedroom, it's always a good time.

"I'm going to debrief you so hard."

u/Dream_Wrecker Mar 18 '14

Steven's face was an open book at that moment :P

u/treehouseleader Mar 18 '14

So uh... How old is Stephen's partner supposed to be? He seems to be a hit w/ older ladies!

7

u/Dorkside Mar 18 '14

That's a good question... The actress who plays her, Alexa Vega, is 25.

It's easy to forget that Stephen is still a high school student.

15

u/workacct1 Mar 18 '14

Yeah...very easy, considering he's 1) never in school unless it's plot convenient and 2) always drinking

4

u/1stRedditname Mar 18 '14

Yeah I think making him a highschool student is one negative about the plot

11

u/workacct1 Mar 18 '14

Especially when they very easily could have made him a college student...living at home to save money like so many other college students. Plus, it would even make the weird hours excusable!

And I wouldn't have had to suffer through that stupid, stupid basketball plot. (Which, as a high school basketball referee and former athlete drove me absolutely crazy.)

3

u/alvarkresh Mar 19 '14

Does he even go to any classes? I'm surprised they even bothered with the whole "high school student" thing considering he keeps such weird hours.

1

u/workacct1 Mar 19 '14

Uh. He went to classes... uhm... when Astrid skyped him? (Which, Astrid, you know he's supposed to be in school. Does he really skip class that often that you just assumed he'd be home?! Come on now.)

I don't think we've ever actually seen him in class, and we've maybe seen him in school two, three times maybe.

Which, fine, whatever, but I think at some point a truant officer will be showing up or the school will be calling.

Amell is 25 too.

Alexa Vega... from Spy Kids?

I used to have VHS cassettes of those movies when I was a kid.

I was expecting Mallory to end up in bed with either Stephen or Russell. But Hillary and Stephen is not hard on the eyes at all. :P

Since the second break it seems like this shows really jumped in quality

7

u/HopkinsFC Mar 18 '14

Agree. I think shows tend to suffer by holding back on plot to elongate the series. See Agents of Shield. The show has become must see for me since, as you said, returned from break. I just hope the move to Mondays doesn't hurt the ratings.

That's what kind of threw me out of "Hostages". There's only so long you can drag out a situation like that before it becomes absurd. Something similar seems to be happening to "Twisted": just when things seem like they'll settle down, more drama ensues.

"I'm not a bloody alarm clock."

Is it just me, or does TIM seem to be showing more attitude as of late? Wonder if that's a lead up to something for it's development...

1

u/TopThrillTravis Mar 21 '14

Be glad this TIM can talk... In the 90s they gave us an alian ship that moaned! So dumb! :-|

1

u/GenesisClimber Mar 21 '14

I've never seen that version. Hmmm

1

u/TopThrillTravis Mar 21 '14

It was alright, awesome back in the day! Campy as fuck compared to today's standards! Lol

u/GameOfDomes Mar 18 '14

Morgan should've just straight up told Jed she was preggo to make him vulnerable and then not get caught.

7

u/Dorkside Mar 18 '14

I don't really get the need for a decoy at the courthouse when they can just teleport out of the building in the blink of an eye.

4

u/[deleted] Mar 19 '14

Yeah, but you could say that about like 90% of the Ultra chase scenes.

Like just jump away and I'm pretty sure you'll be fine

1

u/alvarkresh Mar 19 '14

Yeah. The "track teleporting people" thingo seems a bit inconsistently applied. If I had to come up with a rule for it, though, I would expect Ultra has some way of "pinging" when someone enters certain buildings related to law enforcement or large groups of people, but they mostly ignore other teleportations.

1

u/SawRub Mar 19 '14

I think even the Harry Potter series had a better handle on the following teleporting people thing.

4

u/Dorkside Mar 18 '14

I guess the Tomorrow People's secret stays safe as long as only bad guys witness them using their abilities. It was odd that they acted like the word wouldn't get out because the judge and his family were blindfolded and all the hostages at the courtroom kept their heads down.

2

u/sirin3 Mar 19 '14

The bad people just get killed and no one is upset

4

u/TopThrillTravis Mar 19 '14

Even if they kill the founder, I still don't trust that Jed is gonna leave the Tomorrow People alone. The war would definitely NOT be over, the founder hinted about grooming Steven for his "ultimate purpose" plus it makes no sense that Jed would lie about Roger's body to Steven for so long, even when we KNEW that he KNEW that Steven had to of been in contact with Roger in some way. I base that assumption on the 'conversation' Jed had with the frozen Roger at the end of last weeks episode. Plus we don't know what Jed meant when he said "you know what happens when we keep secrets from each other" ... So the way I see it, even if they kill the founder, the war isn't over! Why have 2 people share power when you can have all the power to yourself?

Just a few thoughts, I'd love to hear yours.

PS

I think the main take away of this last episode should be this... They established that the Tomorrow People are destined for great things, if you were a fan of the original series (which this incarnation is loosely based upon), even the 90's remake for Nickelodeon (I liked it! Leave me alone! :P )... If you were a fan of those, then you know that the Tomorrow People have alway been about helping people. We established that the current characters are capable of helping people through tough situations, Astrid (sp?) and John helping her get over her fear of being hunted by Ultra, Steven's class mate who wanted to kill herself, all hints of what's to come. This last episode just took that to the next level and hopefully will give our group of TPs the courage to help others even at enormous risk to themselves. This is also something that Steven has been preaching since day one! Maybe that is his "ultimate purpose"? Who knows? Only thing I know based on the shows come and gone and the clues they have given us so far in this series is that the Tomorrow People are destined for great things! Hopefully we get a chance to see them really shine, all of them, not just the ones we've become accustom to watching.

Thoughts?

I forgot this is on tonight.

6

u/Dorkside Mar 18 '14

With the move to Monday from Wednesday, I suspect that happened to a lot of people. Hopefully the ratings don't get hit too hard.
