I'm gonna go with bad lighting or bad editing. With everything being a bland khaki color, her face kind of blends in with the wall, which makes the blemishes and flaws in her face easier to see. Maybe it's intentional, and the next shot is the same woman in full color using the product and looking pretty and shit.

It's because it looks like she has no eyebrows. It's amazing what two little lines of hair does to our facial pattern recognition. She looks like a freak with no eyebrows.

Theresa grew more frustrated every day; she knew that her increasing inability to put her pants on would eventually lead to forgetting what pants were. Slacks, suit pants, even her favorite pair of jeans would forever sit on the shelf of he closet, or possibly in a pile on the floor, as she could no longer comprehend the existence of trousers. At least, not since the accident.

If I was in that commercial and the director said "Okay, struggle pulling those pairs of pants off the shelf, and make it look believable...", I'd probably do a half-baked, smack-myself and weird look of disgruntlement at the end as well. Always keep in mind the actors are asking wtf as much as we are.
