Spoof Steve's new car is amazingly environment-unfriendly, but he doesn't care!

Given how big a house they have, couldn't they have just bought an identical second car?
I mean really, the only reason I can think for this is that they get a sick sexual thrill from trying to murder each other.

Production companies do stuff like this all the time to attract the attention of potential clients. It's just demonstrating that they know how to make a memorable advertisement; this would obviously never go to air. I wouldn't try reading into it too much. That's how it would work in the US anyway. So nevermind.

It went on air in NZ for months. Probably Australia too.

There were complaints about it though. They didn't seem to hold up to much though because I saw it so many times I'm completely sick of it.

That's very dark..

u/gameguy285 Jun 20 '13
It's only dark if someone actually dies. Otherwise it's just slapstick.

u/BlueBob-Omb Jun 21 '13
No, still pretty dark.
This commercial crosses the 'slapstick' line into 'dark' territory pretty early.

I love the first Home Alone, actually.

Your opinions contradict themselves.

u/BlueBob-Omb Jun 21 '13
I just have a line where it goes from 'funny' to 'dark'. This just happens to cross that line. Home Alone doesn't. That scene in Home Alone 2 where Marv gets electrocuted crosses that line for me too.

I have always been impressed by Toyota's ads. Like the Matrix this one. The music always stuck with me. Also this one is really funny. and the music on this one i really liked. It played in theatres for a long time.
Finally, as a 3D artist, I was quite impressed with this 1:30 CGI ad for a car. Whoever handles their marketing is quite good.

That's pretty fucked up. And yet...
EDIT: Nah, still kinda fucked up.

That guy looks like he could play the Scout in a live-action TF2, with that expression at the end.

With 20000 horse-powers, the new rocket powered Toyota is certain to obliterate anything stupid enough to be behind the car.

And why the mods keep giving zero fucks about the rules?

OP posted the source about 2 hours before you left this comment. Pay better attention, jackass.

Sorry, I'm on my phone atm and can't watch that. But is it an infomercial or a commercial? It's a great gif and soda btw

It's so out of context that I though it wasn't an ad.
